I grew up in Boca Raton and made my first investments at the age of 11. Interestingly, those first investments weren't stocks or bonds, they were comic books, many of which I still own and treasure today. Even then, I was fascinated by the idea of value and how thoughtful decisions made over time could create opportunities and freedom.
While I've spent much of my life studying money and investing, what has always interested me most is not the accumulation of things, but the pursuit of financial independence and the freedom that comes with it. That perspective has shaped both my personal and professional journey.
Over the years, I've had the opportunity to live in many places, including Virginia, Miami, Spain, Mexico, Brazil, and Colombia. Those experiences deepened my appreciation for people, cultures, and meaningful conversation. I speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, and am currently working on Hebrew. Learning languages has taught me that understanding people is often far more important than simply exchanging information.
I find human behavior endlessly fascinating. Most financial decisions are made at the intersection of mathematics and emotion, and emotion often wins. Understanding why people make the choices they do has become one of my lifelong interests, both personally and professionally.
When I'm not writing, researching, or working with clients, you'll often find me reading, learning, exploring new ideas, or engaging in conversations that help me better understand the world and the people around me.
Why I do what I do
I have always been fascinated by the stories behind people's decisions.
While money is often viewed as a numbers game, I've found that it is really a human story. Every financial decision is influenced by our experiences, beliefs, hopes, fears, and priorities. Understanding that intersection between logic and emotion is something I find endlessly interesting.
I also believe that financial independence creates opportunities that go far beyond money. It can provide freedom, flexibility, peace of mind, and the ability to live life on your own terms. That belief has guided many of my own decisions throughout life and continues to inspire the work I do today.
One of the things I enjoy most is getting to know people and understanding what truly matters to them. Whether through conversation, writing, or working with clients, I am naturally curious about what motivates people and the values that shape their choices.
Helping someone gain clarity and confidence around their financial life is rewarding, but what I find most meaningful is helping them align their decisions with what is most important to them. When people understand their own priorities and make choices that support the life they want to create, the results often extend far beyond their finances.
At its heart, my passion is not really about money. It's about people, freedom, understanding, and helping others make intentional choices that support the life they want to live.
