I love spreading joy! I knew to live my happiest life I needed to escape the cold northeast and find some year-round sun. The University of Miami ticked that box, maybe not on the budget front ;). I am a science nerd at heart, yes a true geek here where I love punny shirts and perpetual learning. Throughout my life I may have lost my joy at times, but now I am committed to keeping it and helping others find theirs. Reading books, walking in nature, encouraging others, traveling with my husband, cheering on my favorite sports team, meeting new people, and constantly growing personally continue to fill my joy jar. Why I do what I do
So, I wanted to be a bus driver when I grew up. How many of you are doing what you dreamed of as a child? Why a bus driver? Probably because I loved mine - he always greeted us with a smile and sent us on our way with a happy presence, and he got to drive around and see different places all day long! No surprise that I always land in jobs that help others as it is tied to my desire to see everyone living their best life. Everyone deserves to have a fan in their corner, encouraging their dreams, reminding them that they are worthy, and that caring for yourself isn't selfish. Once I embraced these beliefs for myself, I committed myself to bringing this joyful way of living to others, even if it just starts with a daily self-care routine, or some confidence in a new image.
